The "Tinkerer" Dilemma
Growing up, I was the kid who opened up everything. Remote controls, toys, old radios—if it had a screw, I unscrewed it. I was fascinated by the "magical machines" inside.
But I had a problem: I never knew how to put them back together.
I never had formal guidance. I tinkered in the dark. It wasn't until I got into Engineering that I realized the gap: Our education system focuses on cramming, not creating. We memorize definitions of motors, but we never hold one.
